I just finished another John Irving novel called "A Prayer For Owen Meany". God, everyone should be reading John Irving, he's fabulous!
Other fabulous titles from him: "The 158 Pound Marriage" and "The World According To Garp" (although the latter still ranks as the absolute MOST fabulous of his books!).

1. The Lover: Marguerite Duras
Very good book! A super quick read, and it comes across as a very honest and, in some ways, very emotionally relatable.
2. Prodigal Summer: Barbara Kingsolver
God, I loved this book! Yes, it is very much like a pulp read in some ways, but the way Kingsolver ties her characters to each other through intertwining - yet very separate - storylines, and the way she focuses on the environments in which the characters are immersed as a focal point throughout each of the storylines is fabulous!
